Pet passports at the ready

This week has seen 3 overseas sales for Farlap canine images, so I hope these gorgeous hounds have their passports, as they are about to be published in a text book in Austria. We also sold a staffy image to a magazine in Russia and finally a Jagd Terrier Head study to a French magazine.

I have a few of the 2012 calendars left. literally just 5 left and I am now offering them for any donation (all funds go to Gables Farm Dogs home). the breeds I have left are:
Greyhound, tibetan terrier, Vizsla and italian Spinone. Links to the calendars so you can see the quality and size of the photos is here http://www.browntrout.com/calendars/category.asp?MGID=1269 and any money for them will all go to Gables as mentioned above. Last chance to grab a calendar and support this great charity!! They can be collected from me in person on Saturday at Okehampton CS open show or posted for a £2 P&P fee. grab them before they aer gone, and help support a worthy doggy cause.

Oops sorry

Thanks to those who have emailed to check Im in the land of the living......it appears my blog posts ARE missed after all!! So here is todays offering! its been a very busy fortnight, with jobs all over the place, and as the lambing season is now in full swing, lots of my work for the farming publications have involved lambs. Ahhhhhhh....so sweet. Ive also had an interesting job at Bicton College, which had special meaning for me, being an "old Bictonian" myself. fab to see some faces and places that were a real blast from the past.
This week weve had images appear in Your Dogs magazine, which is a new one for us, and an odd sale was to a magazine in france, who wanted something very specific, and luckily I was able to help them. Hope you enjoy my favourite photo of the week which wasnt for a client....its of my new puppy!

France, Germany & Estonia here we come!

A few days of marketing stock images and catching up with library submissions. I had one of my strangest sales as well this week....this dairy cow image, to a restuarant chain in Estonia for their internal wall displays......maybe its a beef restaurant and they cant tell the difference? Who knows!! Another cover as well this week, this time with countrymans weekly, plus my first TV appearance, in Germany....yes thats right, Germany. A German tv station bought a photo from me of a stafford bull terrier for a news feature. Finally I sold a shooting image of a game shooter and his labrador, to a French publishing company for an educational text book.....again I have no idea quite why it fitted the bief, but it did and Im not complaining!

Cover Girl

The Shooting Gazette cover for March 2012 is the lovely Stella, owned by Matt Drowne. (Unfortunately the credit is wrong and it is a Farlap cover photo.)
Always nice to be working for prestigious titles like SG

Prints in progress

A frantic few days trying to get all the printing up to date. Having had 2 weeks off, its all got a little behind.

My biggest project this week is getting all the prints made up and mounted for the WW Shoot dinner next week. Hopefully all the guns will love their photos, and after the dinner Ill put the seasons images up on the website so the team can see the others should they wish.

Unbelievably, we are already taking bookings for the 2012/13 shooting season, most of which are repeats of shoots we attended this last season, so its great to know everyone is enjoying having Farlap out on their shoot. If you would like to book YOUR shoot in for next season please let me know as soon as possible as Saturdays are already going fast, although many week day shoots are still available.
