Rainy Days

Today was the 2nd rainy day that has blighted my shoot photography in the last week. I had a very pleasant day at Harwood Shoot, Wiveliscombe, a very friendly and picturesque family shoot with some stunning drives and an interesting line in Reeves pheasant!
If you were a gun or beater or guest on todays shoot, the photos are now online and ready for viewing in a secure passworded album at http://www.farlap-photography.com/section151915.html

Springing into action

Today was springer day! I photographed a beautiful litter this morning for a client, all working bred, and looking a really fun bunch for their new owners.
This afternoon was spent preparing for tomorrows big photo competition and pet photography day at http://www.zoopets.co.uk/ and if you find yourself in launceston, then please bring your dog or pet along.

Hungary for more!

My short trip to Hungary really wasnt long enough, there is so much there to photograph and so many opportunities for working in professional fieldsports photography there. its a country of true hunters, and the driven boar and deer shooting is second to non.I met these guys in the forest. The doe came surprisingly close, but we werent taking any chances with the boar!

Ferreting about down on the farm

Some nice Farlap Photos featuring this week. Two sets for features we have done in Farmers Guardian: one on pig farming in Devon at Kenniford Farm and another on Stockton Lovell, plus a photo on the cover on a national magazine. Next week looks to be a week of field sports with a shoot in Dorset and two more planned over in Europe.

Fun filled weekend

It has been a full weekend, with Liskeard & DCS show on Saturday, and a calendar shoot on Sunday. The weather could have been a little better but between the gusts of wind and the showers, we managed to get everyone photographed.
One of our Rottie clients was thrilled to be told that her "calendar model" dog Bert, not only made the 2012 calendar, but also that he was the star on the front cover! Her new gorgeous Rotty came along for a calendar modelling session and looking at her photo, Im sure she will appearing in 2014, as shes gorgeous! There was a rather special calendar model on Sunday, Watson", as he is one of the bloodhounds from a litter we bred a few years ago, and we rehomed him with his lovely new family after his original owners divorced. Hes a very big and soppy lad now, and it was lovely to catch up with him again.

Wet, Windy & Wonderful!

Thats how one of the competetors summed up their day with Cornwall Field Trial Society at Caerhays Castle Shoot. Well the rain was only a bit of drizzle and we got out of the wind when we dropped into the valley a little, and "wonderful".....well Novice Spaniel trials usually are!
