A brief chink of sunshine and the calendar photoshoots are out in force again! Had some lovely days at some gorgeous locations the last week or so. Our ever expanding image library has also been busy with sales in the USA of running lurchers for a magazine article and an image of a badger to a UK national, for the escalating badger cull arguement.

We had a great front cover on the october Shooting gazette, as well as a three page editorial inside about one of my favourite breeds, the HWV. On top of all that we have had two busy dog shows over the last few days, and the start of the UK "trail" hunting season, so many  different days work!

Christmas is coming!

Although I dont "do" Christmas, this has been a fun week thats involved dressing Christmas trees and playing with fairy lights! Why? you may ask! Ive been photographing the Christmas campaign for one of Britains BIGGEST and most LOVED charities. Obviously its all embargoed for now, but once published Ill add it to the blog and website so everyone can see what weve been up to!
Meanwhile, on non Christmas days this week, weve had a photo shoot for a commercial shooting website
and been out and about the countryside at the start of the autumn hunting season with the foxhounds (who of course only hunt artificial trails nowadays, but I did see this fella!)

A bit "moor" fun!

This weekend was mega busy, with an open dog show in Cornwall (Welcome back Truro CS), a calendar photo shoot, and an EGB ride on Dartmoor. The weather was kind for the first two but decidedly foggy and damp for the Dartmoor ride, nevertheless, we got some great atmospheric shots on the day.
Some changes to our workflow has meant that we have encorporated  new viewing/album software which we think that clients may find nicer to look at as well as slightly easier to navigate, and hopefully make the whole experience of buying images from Farlap a more pleasurable experience. Well thats the plan!!
We have had a lot of interesting editorial work and library sales this week, with images going to France (a chihuahua), USA (Stafford bull terrier) , three UK tabloids (stafford bull terrier again!) the front cover of The Shooting Gazette,  and some shot pheasants being used as the main image in a national advertising to follow shortly!

Soon, weather permitting, I shall be.....well.....on a fishing trawler!!! so that could be an interesting commission.
