Call for gundogs!

The calendar photo shoot went really well with lots of great dogs turning up, and we had a few enjoyable hours photographing all the calendar stars. It was the last calendar shoot for the 2015 calendars, and so we will now be taking a break from calendars for a few weeks, until we start planning (gulp) the 2016 titles!!!

However we arent resting on our laurels, weve had a busy couple of days at the lurcher shows , and May is "Gundog" month! We are offering a free visit to gundog breeders/trainers in Devon Cornwall, and a set of jpegs suitable for  the gundog trainers website, in return for allowing to photograph puppies and dogs in training etc for forthcoming articles in the shooting/fieldsports press. Dont hesitate to get in touch if you would like us to visit, as dates are already booking up fast for these visits.

Bleating the competition!

This has been a busy few days, seeing my poor van putting miles on the clock with trips to Wales, Cornwall, Somerset......and me feeling like a long distance trucker at the end of it.
We covered the Working pastoral breeds of Wales Champ show for Dog World at the weekend, and then straight off to cover sheep for FG, then a day with a major poultry breeder, doing  photos and preparing for "Sheep South West".
Once again we have proved that Farlap offer the best service to breeders of livestock and that we can "bleat" the competition on service, quality, experience, knowledge and reliability every time.......and you can certainly hear them (the competition) bleating and moaning about us, so I guess we must be doing something right!!
DONT FORGET ALL DOG OWNERS THAT THIS COMING SATURDAY THE 27th APRIL IS OUR CALENDAR SHOOT DAY FOR ALL DOG BREEDS. Come along to Simmons park, Okehampton for a 12.30 meet up, and get your dog photographed for the 2015 calendar range. Every dog gets a free 12x12 print and if chosen for the calendar then a free calendar too. its great fun and the dogs love it. Email me on sam@farlap.co.uk if you have any questions about it.

Rain DIDNT stop play

A fun morning, depite the wettest weather it could throw at us, with the charity basset walk on Exmouth beach. The 40 plus bassets, and assorted yorkies, clumbers and mutts, didnt care about the wind and the rain, and everyone had a good time. photos are now online ready for viewing/buying. 10% goes back to the Basset rescue that organised the walk.

Calendar photo shoot.......could your dog be a star?

We are holding another of our calendar photo shoots for the INTERNATIONAL DOG BREEDS CALENDAR RANGE, on April 27th, meeting 12.30 at Simmons Park carpark (Okehampton). As usual, all those who bring their dogs along will get a free photo/print of their dog as a thankyou, and if selected for the calendar then a free calendar too. This will be our LAST PHOTOSHOOT for the chance to be in the 2015 calendar selections, so tell all your friends and come along with your dogs. Its great fun, and your dog doesnt have to be able to do anything specific, and we can work with even the naughtiest of puppies! It is somewhat weather dependant so if you plan to come along, please check here or on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Farlap-Canine-Photography/103783183000846
before setting out incase the weather is a problem.

Puppy dog "tails" and eye of frog......

A week of contrast.....one moment its puppy dog tails (or tales!!) with a lovely spring litter of terriers, next moment its "British Wildlife" for a greetings card publisher client, and rounded off with a day at the Southern Classic Dairy sale for another client. Next week looks like being equeally varied with gordon setters, springers, lurchers and a basset hound event!
